Melanie Brown is a visual artist, who lives in Adelaide, South Australia.
Melanie completed her Bachelor of Visual Art (Honours) in 2008 at Adelaide Central School of Art, during which time she was awarded several scholarships and an Alumni Award. In 2008, Melanie won the Clifton’s Art Prize, in 2010 she received the Golden Key for studies in Diploma of Education (Double Art), and recently she was the 2013 winner of the Loreto SpringArt Star Portrait Prize, with a portrait of Nova FM 91.9 DJ Dylan Lewis.

Melanie has exhibited in numerous group shows including the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival. She is currently a lecturer in both Painting and Life Drawing at Adelaide Central School Of Art. Melanie conducts numerous workshops in Painting and Drawing, including workshops at the Art Gallery of South Australia in Self Portraiture and Life Drawing. Melanie has corporate and private commissions for her paintings both locally and overseas. Her studio is situated in the CBD, Adelaide.Her full CV is here
